Frequently asked questions

Elastic Interface® is the premium brand for top-quality cycling pads and gloves used by the best cycling apparel brands. You can find a list of brands that have chosen us at our brands page.

We don’t sell our products directly to consumers, as we are a B2B company and our direct customers are the cycling apparel brands. Furthermore, professional tailors should be entrusted with the positioning and sewing processes.

Chamois replacement is a process that Elastic Interface® does not recommend. If the apparel has been used for a long time, the Lycra will not have its original elasticity, causing low stability of the new seat pad. Equally delicate, then, is the positioning of the cycling pad.

Though it may seem easy to do so, it is not something we recommend. Using the older pad as a guide may not work, since shapes and padding positioning may be very different.

Elastic Interface® chamois are developed and tested by cyclists for cyclists. Elastic Interface® is your guarantee for high-quality, certified products that come from a company with a proper sustainability strategy.

Yes, there is a way to be 100% sure of buying apparel with an Elastic Interface® cycling pad. Check out our brands page (link a marketplace) and look for our institutional hang tag when you buy your new apparel. Also, cycling apparel brands usually specify – in their website product pages – when there is an Elastic Interface® ingredient.

The seat pad is the heart of your cycling apparel. If badly placed (too much on the front/back), the cyclist will sit where there is no padding. Even the most protective chamois, then, will turn into the cyclist’s worst enemy. If you want to learn more about the positioning process, check out our dedicated post

There isn’t an absolute best cycling pad. There is the best cycling pad for your needs: it all depends on discipline, duration of ride, gender…

Road, Off road, Triathlon, Training, Urban, Kids, multidiscipline… We developed a specific chamois for all disciplines. Discover our product range here.

Developed in collaboration with the University of Padua, Elastic Interface® chamois for men and women are one size only for either. In order to meet the needs of every cyclist, however, we developed minimal and wider paddings.
